Girls Division 3 Pennants – Round 4 Wrap-Up

After a brisk start to the morning, the talented Lake Karrinyup girls delivered a commanding performance at the West Australian Golf Club, securing a 4–1 victory over The Vines in Sunday’s third vs fourth playoff.

Team captain Baoly led by example, clinching a hard-fought win on the 18th hole. Daisy followed with a strong finish on the 17th, while Chloe and Frieda posted impressive victories, winning 8/7 and 5/4 respectively. Although Nisile—who had remained undefeated throughout the season—faced a tough challenge and narrowly missed maintaining a perfect record, her efforts were commendable.

Throughout the season, every player has represented Lake Karrinyup with pride and determination. The club is extremely proud of the team’s achievements and the spirit they’ve shown on and off the course.

Girls Division 3 Pennants – Round 3 vs Mt Lawley at Cottesloe

On a muggy, but windy and slightly cooler morning, our Div 3 girls took on Mt Lawley at Cottesloe. Our team captain Baoly fought all day to tie her match, with our number 2, Daisy, going down to a girl whose handicap hasn’t caught up with her ability and unfortunately Daisy couldn’t match her form. Nisile continued her unbeaten run, and Chloe got over the line for her first win. It was then down to Frieda, who was four down with four to go, and fought it out to the last hole, narrowly missing an eight-foot curly downhill putt to tie the match.

Well done to all the girls this year who finished equal second in the round robin, but were relegated to third on points. They will head out to WAGC next week to play off the consolation final with the Vines.

Junior Pennants Week 2 – Girls Division 3

In fine sunny conditions, on the newly renovated Royal Perth Golf course, our Division 3 girls unfortunately went down 1.5 to 3.5 to WAGC on Sunday. Nisile Siwale continued her great form with her second win for the year, and our number one Baoly Doan fought hard to tie her match. Daisy Adam also tried valiantly against an opponent who seemed to get every lucky break and bounce, going down by one on the18th hole. Chloe Cho and Frieda Williams once again had to give several shots to the opposition, and it was too much for them to overcome. All the girls showed great spirit and attitude and are looking forward to meeting Mt Lawley and Cottesloe next week.

Return of the Girls Junior Pennant Team

LKCC has once again fielded a girls junior pennant team, marking an exciting development for the club. The presence of a dedicated junior side highlights the club’s commitment to fostering young talent and encouraging participation in competitive golf.

First Victory Against the Vines

The team celebrated a memorable milestone by securing their first win against the Vines on a hot and windy morning at Joondalup Country Club. This achievement was especially significant considering the challenging playing conditions, demonstrating the determination and resilience of the junior players.

Camaraderie Among Players

Having played in partnership with the Vines in the previous year, there was a noticeable sense of camaraderie among the players. The shared experiences contributed to strong team spirit and mutual respect, which was evident throughout the competition.
