FRIDAY 5TH FEBRUARY 2021 – Course & Clubhouse to Re-open After 5 Day Lockdown

I am pleased to advise that after recent announcements made by the State Government, Lake Karrinyup will be re-opening from tomorrow. This will include the Clubhouse (golf shop, admin, locker rooms, buggy room,  bar and grill), the golf courses (both Main and North) and the practice facilities.

Please note the following in regard to club operations:

  1. The course and clubhouse will not be open this evening at all;
  2. The course and clubhouse will re-open from tomorrow morning;
  3. The Bar/Lounge and Grill will be open for lunch tomorrow with a limited menu;
  4. The Grill will not be open for dinner tomorrow evening;
  5. The Administration Office will be open from 10am until 2pm tomorrow then back to normal hours from Monday.

Please note the following in relation to golf:

  1. The maximum number permitted on the Main and North Courses and practice facilities at any one time is 150.
  2. It is imperative that all members register using the QR Code system or manual registration book located in the Golf Shop to ensure we can manage the numbers in line with the Government Directions.
  3. Tomorrow’s timesheets remain unchanged however the Ballot will be conducted by the Captain and Director of Golf today and the timesheet updated this evening.
  4. The timesheet for Saturday 13th February will open tonight at 6:00pm as intended however, the PM field will include exact times rather than a ‘Ballot for Times’.
  5. Sunday – Golf WA Junior Pennant has been cancelled and with this the decision has been taken to re-do this timesheet as a one tee start with ten minute intervals all day from 6:30am. This means current bookings have been removed and members will need to re-book. This timesheet will open today at 5:00pm online.
  6. Please ensure you review the timesheets tonight.
  7. There are no restrictions relating to touching flagpoles or rakes.
  8. Masks must be worn at all times whilst on the course and practice facilities.
  9. Two members may ride together in a cart but masks must remain on.
  10. Drinks carts will be in operation as usual.

Clubhouse Patron Numbers:

We understand that based on the maximum number of patrons permitted in the clubhouse, excluding staff and taking into account the 4 square metre rule, the maximum number of 150 will be permitted in the clubhouse at Lake Karrinyup split between the Courtyard, Lounge and Grill. This will be closely monitored by our staff and your cooperation is appreciated. It is essential that all members register using the QR Code system on arrival. Staff will ask you to confirm that you have scanned in on arrival to the clubhouse.

Masks:

In line with government directives, masks must be worn at all times in the clubhouse, carpark and clubhouse surrounds and includes whilst playing or practicing golf. Your mask can be removed to eat or drink but must otherwise remain on. We ask for your cooperation as staff may request you put your mask back on if you are not eating or drinking.  Please click here to view the Face Covering Directions.

QR Code Process:

Check-in is mandatory, both for golf and in the Clubhouse (via the Safe WA app or manual register). Non-compliance with this regulation is not acceptable. Any member or visitor who does not comply with any of these requirements, including the compulsory wearing of masks, may be asked to leave the premises.

In the Clubhouse:

The clubhouse will be open tomorrow and Sunday at the regular times. The Bar will operate from 11.00am until 7pm both days however, the Grill will not be open for dinner tomorrow evening but will be open for lunch both days. A limited menu will be available this weekend and can be viewed by clicking here for the Grill Menu and here for the Bar Menu. Members should note that:

  1. In line with the one per person per four square metre rule, our maximum clubhouse capacity is now 150.  This includes the Courtyard;
  2. Table service only so no members will be able to order from the bar. This includes food orders;
  3. Wearing of masks is compulsory;
  4. Table, chairs and seating configurations are not to be re-arranged in any way.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO GOVERNMENT DIRECTIONS, ONLY THOSE MEMBERS SCHEDULED TO PLAY GOLF TOMORROW ARE PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE CLUB. THIS WILL ENSURE THE CLUB COMPLIES WITH THE GOVERNMENT DIRECTION REGARDING MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PATRONS. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO TOMORROW AT THIS STAGE.

We remain in regular contact with Golf WA who are constantly in touch with Government and health authorities in relation to any changing regulations and/or interpretations.  Your compliance and cooperation will ensure we can operate smoothly and safely until these restrictions are lifted, all being well, at midnight, Saturday 13th February.

Kind regards,
Damon Lonnie
GENERAL MANAGER.
