On a beautiful sunny day (at long last!) the Ladies of LKCC celebrated the end of another season. Our Closing Day is always one of the most highly attended days and this year was no exception. The format was Canadian Foursomes and we had 175 ladies playing on the Main Course and 32 on the Short Course.
The winners on the Main Course were Mary Clare MacConnell and Karie Liggins with 38 points. Jeanie Whittaker and Pat Stapledon won the Short Course with 33 points. We must congratulate Liesl Kemp and Vicki Krause, two new members who also had 33 points, on playing so well in their first ever competition.
The evening was attended by 184 ladies who thoroughly enjoyed a delicious dinner followed by a VERY entertaining Toast to Lake Karrinyup given by Patsy Best.
The Weekend Ladies held their Closing Day on Sunday November 10th. Again it was a lovely day with 16 ladies competing in a Stableford competition over 14 holes for the Closing Day Trophy. Lunch followed a brief meeting in which Wendy Naude was elected to continue as the Weekend Leader and Robin Challenor was voted as Non-Playing Captain for the 2014 Pennant Season. The winner was Sandy Spence with 32 points and Runner Up was Georgie Wynn with 31 points.
